Applications for the Centenary Scholarship are now being accepted at the University of Leicester from new students who will be beginning a full-time undergraduate campus-based course in September 2022. Students from other countries are welcome to submit an application for this scholarship program.
These scholarships are awarded to deserving students who have persevered in the face of adversity or made personal sacrifices in order to achieve their ambitions, ideally in the name of a cause that is more important than themselves.

In order to be considered for this scholarship, you will need to prove that you meet all of the following entry requirements:
You have to be a brand-new student who will be beginning a four-year undergraduate program on a campus in September of 2022.
You are required to give your consent to attend an induction event, during which you will be requested to sign up for participation in at least one event or activity hosted by the Centenary Scholars program.
You are required to provide evidence that you have persevered through difficult times or overcome obstacles in order to accomplish what you set out to do. This could include enduring violent conflict in your home country, providing care for a member of your own family, or putting in a tremendous amount of effort to excel in academics, the arts, sports, or some other field of endeavor.
In the event that your submission is accepted, they will request evidence before officially confirming your award.
The receipt of a Centenary Scholarship will in no way affect a recipient’s eligibility for any other forms of financial assistance or scholarships.
Students who meet at least one of the additional priority criteria that are described on the application form will be given priority consideration. This priority consideration will be given in the order in which the criteria are met.
English Language Requirements:
In order to be accepted into a degree program at the University of Leicester, prospective students’ written and spoken English must be of a sufficient level to ensure that they will fully comprehend and profit from their degree program (please note that they have slightly different requirements for PhD students). The International English Language Testing System, more commonly known as IELTS, is currently the most widely used English language proficiency test for higher education anywhere in the world. On each and every degree page of the website, a minimum IELTS score is listed.
The following is the procedure for applying for postgraduate scholarships at the University of Leicester in the UK:
Simply compose an essay of no more than 250 words in which you explain how you personify the ideals upon which the University was established.

The names of the winners will be announced in the month of October 2022, and their prizes will be distributed in the month of February 2023
